President Santiago Garcia-Milà was invited to join the 5thMaritime Silk Road Port International Cooperation Forum in Ningbo, China on July 11-12. The two-day long forum, organised by Zhejiang Seaport Group and other enterprises and institutions, is a parallel forum for the China Maritime Forum 2019, an event launched to mark the Maritime Day ofChinaon July 11. The Ports Forum is guided byChina’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Transport and the People’s Government ofZhejiang Province.

According to Manfred Lebmeier, ESI Bureau Director, 7,732 ships are registered and 56 incentive providers, as of July 1, 2019. Borth registered ships and Incentive providers increased from 7,452 to 7,732 (+280) and from 56 to 57 (+) respectively compared to April 1, 2019. IAPH Vice President Masaharu Shinohara and Secretary General Susumu Naruse were invited by PIANC to make a presentation at the PIANC’s Annual General Assembly, 3-7 June, Kobe, Japan. PIANC is the World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure established in 1885 and based in Brussels, Belgium.
