An Administrative and Technical Public Institution with legal personality and financial autonomy, the National Ports Authority (APN) was created by Law No 98/021 of 24th December 1998 to organise the port sector and organised by Decree No 98/126 of 15th June 1999 amended by Decree No 2019/172 of 5th April 2019. Secular arm of the State for the implementation of the Cameroon national port policy, and backbone in the coordination and monotoring of port activities, APN plays a very important role in the process of building an emerging Cameroon by 2035, through the development and promotion of the Cameroon’s ports environment.
