At its meeting yesterday, the IAPH Board confirmed the appointment of Flor Pitty, General Director of Ports and Maritime Ancillary Industries at Panama Maritime Authority, as the new Chair of the IAPH Women’s Forum. She succeeds Jeanine Drummond, who left the position last autumn. The Women’s Forum was established in 2012. It runs a scholarship and mentoring programme. April ESI scores published

The latest scores of the IAPH Environmental Ship Index (ESI) project were published on 1 April. The number of vessels increased again, but the number of vessels with an ESI score above 20 decreased for the first time. This is related to the introduction of the global sulphur cap on 1 January this year.
