Municipality of The Hague / Port Authority & Operation Centre is responsible for managing the Port of Scheveningen. The Port lies directly on the North Sea and centrally located on the Dutch coast, allowing for rapid movement of shipping in and out of the port. Cargo vessels can reach Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and the ports of Hook of Holland and Ijmuiden in less than an hour.
