Following the successes of the IAPH Europe and Africa Regional Harbor Cafés last year, which focused on digital innovation, regional vice presidents for Europe and Africa hosted a joint 2023 Regional Kick-off meeting online on 16 February. The kick-off meeting included a top-level discussion on priorities for Hamburg Port Authority and Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority in 2023 and input from other IAPH regular member CEO guests on their own priorities from both regions. IAPH managing director, Policy & Strategy, explained IAPH’s 2023 work plan, and the Chairs of the technical committees (Climate & Energy, Data Collaboration, and Risk & Resilience) explained each agenda. In addition, the participants provided topics they would like to discuss in the 2023 IAPH Harbor Café sessions.
