Following the highly successful IAPH Regional Forum for South East Asia and Oceania, which took place on 22 September in Sydney, Australia (pictured below), earlier today IAPH regional VP and CEO of NSW Ports Marika Calfas led an online IAPH Harbor Cafe webinar for the region. South East Asia and Oceania now totals 41 regular and 15 associate members – the third largest across IAPH regions. After Marika’s overview of the IAPH structure, membership and networks director Victor Shieh and director publications and database management Fumiko Yamaji presented an online overview of the suite of tools available to IAPH members, including the members’ only area of the IAPH website and the World Ports Sustainability Programme, before highlighting upcoming deliverables that will be launched at #IAPH2026. Marika and Victor also encouraged members to join the association’s technical committees, to participate in testing new IAPH tools and enhancing existing ones, as well as supporting the creation of new solutions. Members can join IAPH’s technical committee by sending a request through to IAPH director, technical committees Masaoki Shirai.
