IAPH and Mercator Media are excited to announce the details of the #IAPH2025 webinar series, leading up to the World Ports Conference taking place in Kobe, Japan on 7-9 October 2025! These webinars will keep members informed on hot topics due for discussion this October, when industry-leading speakers will gather in Kobe for the association’s 70th anniversary conference. Each webinar will cover one or more of the areas of interest of the World Ports Sustainability Program. The topics for this series were identified in December during online Harbor Cafe events introduced by IAPH president Jens Meier, at which attending members were polled on the subjects they most wanted to explore in more detail in 2025. Co-organised by IAPH and Mercator Media, the webinars will take place on the dates and at the times listed below, alternating morning and afternoon time zones in Central Europe and Japan. Registration is already open for the first webinar taking place on 21 February, when participants will learn about practical measures ports are taking not only to include port communities in their business model, but also to support their sustainable economic growth, thereby strengthening their own license to operate. Representatives from Northport (Malaysia), Port of Brisbane (Australia) and Autonomous Port of Cotonou (Benin) will explain how their highly innovative projects achieved this.
