IAPH wants to extend its thanks to all members, board members, council members, committees, working group chairs and partners who have contributed to the work of IAPH in 2024. The association can look back on an eventful year, including a wonderful annual conference in Hamburg and a flow of new products being developed, under the thematic areas of Climate and Energy, Data Collaboration and Risk and Resilience. Next year will be a very special year for IAPH, as the association celebrates its 70th anniversary at the World Ports Conference in Kobe, Japan, 7-9 of October. At IAPH’s founding in 1955, the organisation’s slogan was ‘World Peace through World Trade, World Trade through World Ports’ – a topical motto in the wake of the Second World War but just as applicable for #IAPH2025. Of course, the year will also be busy with the Technical Committee Days already lined up for 26-28 March in London and plenty of activity at the IMO, as ever. It will be a year ‘full steam ahead’ but hopefully a very peaceful year for all our members and partners. This is the final edition of the IAPH Insider newsletter before the Christmas break. The next edition will appear in your inboxes on Thursday 9 January. We wish those readers who are also taking a break a very pleasant holiday. We’ll see you again next month!
