Karrie Trauth to deliver #IAPH2026 keynote address

Karrie Trauth, president of the UK Chamber of Shipping, will deliver the opening keynote address during the IAPH World Ports Conference in London this November. On 3 November at the Arcadia Auditorium at Olympia, Karrie – who was appointed to her role in March – will give her view on the role of shipping and ports in a rapidly changing global economy. Karrie will bring the invaluable perspective of three decades in the shipping industry; you can read about her diverse career here, from her beginnings as a surface warfare officer in the US Navy (serving as one of the first group of women assigned in combat ships) to her present role as executive vice president of shipping & maritime at Shell. Upon her appointment earlier this year, in conversation with IAPH managing director Patrick Verhoeven, Karrie offered her perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing the industry in a cover interview in Ports & Harbors magazine. Register today to hear the thoughts of Karrie and other world-leading maritime experts at #IAPH2026, this 3-6 November.
