IAPH is pleased to officially launch the call for projects for the #IAPH2026 Sustainability Awards competition. All member ports, and associate members acting on behalf of regular member ports, are warmly encouraged to submit their sustainability projects and initiatives using the World Ports Sustainability Program (WPSP) dedicated online form by 10 June. You can submit your project here. Projects will then be evaluated and scored over the July-August period by an independent jury of experts against the Awards’ evaluation criteria. During that time your project will be highlighted on IAPH’s social media channels and on the WPSP website. If your project is one of the top three in one of the six categories, we will announce you as a finalist in the month of August and it will be up to you to promote your project to your colleagues and the global voting public, who will have a chance to choose their favourites by voting online on the World Ports Sustainability Program website. The most inspiring projects in each of the six Awards categories will be showcased during a prestigious dedicated ceremony to take place at the gala dinner of the #IAPH2026 World Ports Conference in London on 4 November. Members will find all information related to the 2026 Awards in this year’s terms of reference. With a total of 516 projects currently on the WPSP project database – the worldwide reference on port sustainability efforts – we are looking forward to receiving your quality contributions. For any questions on how to submit your projects, please contact IAPH technical and WPSP director Antonis Michail.
