The Port of Rotterdam hosted a hybrid meeting of the IAPH Data Collaboration Committee (DCC) on 11 February, chaired by Ingrid Boqué Sastre (Port of Barcelona), who was supported by Chloe Rowland (IAPH) in person and vice chair Gadi Benmoshe (Marininovators) online. Among the speakers were Didier Decaestecker (SkeyDrone), who presented alongside Ori Marom (Port of Rotterdam) and Didier Venneman (Port of Antwerp-Bruges), to address the use of drones in ports, as well as airspace management. Didier explained what countermeasures were being used to combat the increasing number of non-authorised drone flights, with reference to the status of key infrastructure in Belgium. In the afternoon, the DCC Steering Group went into a deep-dive on port-to port data exchange harmonisation, ahead of the launch of the PCO guidelines at the end of March at the IMO FAL. Those members who were unable to attend can view a recording of the hybrid committee meeting here.
