Security insights in the new Harbor Café podcast

The latest edition of the IAPH Harbor Café podcast is available. Listeners will be treated to an interview with Maryam Mohamed Kidere of Kenya Ports Authority. In conversation with IAPH strategy and communications director Victor Shieh, Maryam shares her ideal location for a café, complete with her beverage and music of choice. She speaks about the changing role of security officers and their teams at ports due to the emergence of new technologies, and how regulatory changes may be needed to ensure a consistent application of the ISPS Code across the sector; the latter is a topic of increasing interest for IAPH’s Risk & Resilience committee and is due to be discussed at the forthcoming Technical Committee days in Singapore in April. You can listen to the interview with Maryam on Spotify or SoundCloud, and after that, why not check out the first annual IAPH Harbor Café Spotify playlist, wrapping our interviewee’s musical selections from 2025?
