Due to scheduling conflicts, the forthcoming editions of the IAPH Harbor Café are moving from December to January 2026. MS Outlook invitations that have been sent to each member’s IAPH senior representative and coordinator will be amended accordingly. Originally scheduled to be held on 9 December (Asia and Europe) and 10 December (Americas and Africa), the Harbor Cafe will now be scheduled for the new year, when members will be able to hear from re-elected president Jens Meier, CEO of Hamburg Port Authority, as he explains his manifesto and four key overarching themes proposed for his next two-year term. Regional VPs from the IAPH board will also take part, outlining the priorities for their regions in the next two years. If you have any questions about taking part in the Harbor Cafes, please email IAPH publications and database manager Fumiko Yamaji. All members are welcome to join the 16 December #IAPH2026 webinar focused on the decarbonisation of ports and shipping – you can register here.
