On Monday next week, the final webinar prior to the #IAPH2025 World Ports Conference in Kobe takes place. IAPH’s Rhona Macdonald, World Bank’s Jan Hoffmann and the chairs of IAPH’s working groups on Clean Marine Fuels (Peter Alkema of Port of Amsterdam) and Port Readiness Level (Françoise van den Brink of Port of Rotterdam) will be looking at the status of the proposals on the table of the IMO Net Zero Framework ahead of the upcoming MEPC Extraordinary meeting, and discussing what they could mean for ports. All four speakers will also be taking part in climate and energy-related sessions in person in Kobe, and this event will give attendees a sneak preview of potential areas of focus at the conference, which is just one week before that crucial MEPC meeting at the IMO in London.
