Sarah Ogier appointed vice chair of C&E committee 

IAPH is pleased to announce that Sarah Ogier, director of maritime environment & sustainability at the Port of Seattle, has been appointed as vice chair of the Climate and Energy technical committee of IAPH. Sarah has worked for local governments, NGOs, and consulting firms across the Pacific Northwest of the United States, providing her with extensive expertise in natural resources, decarbonisation, public infrastructure, and utility management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in urban and environmental planning and a master’s degree in water resources management and planning. Sarah has been actively participating in the Climate and Energy technical committee with both steering and working groups, joining the IAPH team at the IMO in London for the MEPC 83 meetings earlier this year. She leads a team of environmental scientists, engineers and policy analysts working on the Pacific Northwest to Alaska Green Corridor, expanding shore power at cruise terminals, electrification, sustainable maritime fuels collaboration, restoring industrial lands to support port operations and natural environments and integrating sustainability into port infrastructure investments.
