The third edition of the IAPH Technical Committee Days were successfully held last week in London, 26-28 March at the offices of the International Chamber of Shipping. In-person capacity was at maximum, with 75 attendees on site and 50 members connecting online, collectively representing some 45 ports and 13 associate members. The three strategic committee themes – climate and energy, data collaboration and risk and resilience were discussed in depth with invited guests from IMO, UNCTAD, the World Bank, FIATA and the UK government among others. Committee steering groups also gathered to make plans for membership deliverables for the year. There was also time for networking, with a memorable reception on day one in Trinity House, hosted by David Whitehead, former chief executive of BPA and Younger Brother of this impressive maritime institution. On day two members and guests enjoyed a pie and a pint at The Walrus and Carpenter, a famous London pub. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
