Kobe is at the heart of #IAPH2025

This year’s venue of the IAPH World Port Conference is the dynamic port city of Kobe – the birthplace of the IAPH and the mayoral domain of one of the association’s two founding fathers. Located between the Rokko mountain range and the Seto inland sea, the historical port city has a unique international flavor, with architecture that features an eclectic mix of Japanese and late 19th century Western vernacular and a food culture that boasts the world-famous Kobe beef and Nada sake. Taking advantage of Kobe’s compact cityscape and cosmopolitan environment, #IAPH2025 will take place 7-9 October in the heart of the maritime district at the Hotel Okura, an elegant landmark skyscraper right by the waterside. Meanwhile, the 2025 Sustainability Awards will be held at Kobe Portopia Hotel, located just across the water on Port Island.
