The IAPH Technical Committee Days are three short weeks away – the ‘engine room’ of the association’s work, this event gives regular and associate members a golden opportunity not only to share critical knowledge but also to network. This year there will be evening networking receptions held at Trinity House – the much-admired home of the eponymous maritime safety charity since 1796 – and at The Walrus and The Carpenter, not far from the Monument. The latter reception is sponsored by IAPH associate member, TT Club. The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) will host the committee meetings at its headquarters, in the heart of the City of London. Registration is open and an interim agenda is available for the event, which takes place 26-28 March. This year’s event will also feature speakers from the IMO, ICS, BIMCO, CLIA, FIATA and the World Economic Forum, alongside subject matter experts from IAPH’s regular and associate membership. The packed agenda features sessions on trade barriers, climate resilience, future fuels, onboard carbon capture, digitalisation, the impact of cruise calls, the future of work, port air quality, cybersecurity and emerging technologies and supply chain resilience. The Technical Committee Days will be held in between the next IMO Facilitation (FAL 49) and Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC 83) Committee meetings. If you have any enquiries about registration, please contact IAPH director (technical committees) Takeshi Suzuki.
