IAPH visits Hong Kong Chamber of Shipping

Catherine Chow, IAPH’s regional development director for Greater China, visited Hong Kong Chamber of Shipping (HKCoS) on 5 June, to introduce IAPH in depth and to explore possible collaboration around future events and initiatives. Catherine met with secretary-general Pamela Ku and head of event & communication Christy Hong. HKCos was established in October 2024 and focuses on uniting stakeholders across the maritime value chain to elevate Hong Kong’s strategic role as an international maritime centre and strengthen integration within Mainland China’s shipping and logistics ecosystem and the wider global maritime community. The organisation aims to promote sustainable maritime development and improve environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards; cultivating talent through education, training, and public engagement; deepening cooperation with Mainland China; and fostering integrated growth across maritime and related sectors. It is active in promoting the value of green corridors from shipping lines and ports to the whole supply chain.
