In this edition, Luisa Rodriguez of the Transport Section of UNCTAD speaks to IAPH’s Victor Shieh about Sustainable Smart Ports (SSP) in Africa – a wide-ranging project she recently spearheaded. SSP focuses on establishing future energy strategies for ports, using three concrete case studies from a small island port, a medium-sized coastal port and a global transhipment hub – all in Africa. A webinar, open to all, which also presents the main findings and lessons learned from the SSP project assessments and related capacity-building activities, will take place on 31 March.
