Allan Gray talks investment at Beijing MCDF event

Sentient Ports CEO Allan Gray represented IAPH last week at the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) Conference on Green and Efficient Ports, in Beijing, China. Allan was recently appointed as the representative for Associate Members on the IAPH Council. He presented the IAPH World Ports Sustainability Program (WPSP) to the global investment development banking community, as well as Chinese, Asian and international ports, showcasing the program’s 500+ best practices, including how sustainable infrastructure projects have been successfully implemented across the world. Allan also took part, with five port regions, in a roundtable on the challenges faced by ports in collaborative, dynamic master planning in a port city, and presented his organisation’s use of technological innovation to support strategic port planning. He was also able to visit the Port of Tianjin’s new zero-emission automated terminal as part of the conference programme. MCDF is a multilateral financial mechanism designed to promote high-quality infrastructure and connectivity investments in developing countries through partnerships. The event was co-organised with a number of IAPH partners, including the World BankAsian Development Bank (ADB), African Development Bank Group and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
