Located on Kobe Airport Island in the Hyogo Prefecture, HySTRA, the research association consortium formed by Shell Japan, Iwatani Corporation, and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, has constructed – and is conducting pilot demonstration tests at – this receiving terminal equipped with a loading arm that can transfer -253°C liquified hydrogen, storage tanks and other facilities.
