In the latest IAPH-Mercator Media webinar on the impact of geopolitical changes on ports, AAPA president and CEO Cary Davis provided a highly insightful overview on the current situation in Washington DC. In conversation with IAPH strategy and communications director Victor Shieh, Cary outlined how the new administration’s legislative agenda is affecting member ports in the USA and touched on the ramifications for ports worldwide. The upcoming hearing on the USTR301 remedies at Congress (see above story) were discussed, as were other proposed impositions that could have an impact on trade to and from the US.
