IAPH members are invited to access the new membership portal in the secure area of the association’s website, in order to update their organisational information and enter information about market trends and sustainability activities, by the end of February. This digital ‘one-stop-shop’ ensures that the IAPH database remains both useful and accurate for all members. Our members’ confidential responses to these questions – around sustainability, strategic decisions and global outlook – will be used to produce an IAPH World Ports Sustainability Report and Outlook for 2025. Only global and regional data will be reported, and survey responses are strictly confidential. In this short video, managing director Patrick Verhoeven explains the importance of taking part. As a result of participation, your port will receive exclusive insights on the major global trends in port sustainability and market trends in a top-quality report written by maritime economists Theo Notteboom (University of Antwerp) and Thanos Pallis (University of Piraeus). The top-line results of the annual survey will be presented at the IAPH Technical Committee Days in London, 26-28 March. Individual responses will be retained after the survey has closed; members will only be asked to review and update a port’s answers once per year. If you are your organisation’s main IAPH member contact, and you are having trouble accessing or navigating the survey, please contact IAPH publications and database manager Fumiko Yamaji (JST, covering North, South, West and East Asia, Oceania) or IAPH coordination and support manager Fabienne Van Loo (CET, covering Europe, Middle East, Africa and the Americas) for assistance. The deadline for submissions is Friday 28 February.
