Competition for 2024 IAPH Sustainability Awards opens

IAPH launched today its 2024 Sustainability Awards competition. We warmly encourage all member ports and associate members acting on behalf of regular member ports, to submit their sustainability projects and initiatives using the dedicated online form at the World Ports Sustainability Program (WPSP) website by 24 May. The most inspiring projects in each of the six Awards categories; infrastructure, digitalisation, climate and energy, community building, environmental care, and health safety and security, will be awarded during a prestigious dedicated ceremony to take place at the gala dinner of the World Ports Conference in Hamburg on 9 October. The robust evaluation process for all candidate projects will initiate over the summer period,  consisting of an initial assessment by our jury of experts against the Awards’ evaluation criteria, followed by a public vote on the WPSP website. Members will find all information related to the 2024 Awards in this year’s terms of reference. With a record high number of project submissions for last year’s competition and with a total of 327 projects currently on the WPSP database – the worldwide reference on port sustainability efforts – we are looking forward again to receiving your quality contributions to continue building on this success. For any questions regarding how to submit your projects and all related practicalities with the Awards, please contact Antonis Michail at [email protected].
