Hosted by Panama Maritime Authority (Mr. Jorge Barakat Pitty, Administrator), IAPH Mid-term Conference was successfully held in Panama City, Panama from May 10 to 13. Nearly 200 delegates, accompanying persons, guest speakers and exhibitors attended this major event of IAPH to learn firsthand about this major maritime country in the world, its people and culture.
At the end of the meeting, three business resolutions were adopted:
*Resolution on the Smooth Implementation of the SOLAS Convention on the VGM of Containers
*Resolution on Urging Ratification of HNS Protocol
*Resolution on review of fuel oil availability for sea going ships as required by regulation 14.8 of MARPOL Annex VI
