Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) is one of five operating divisions of Transnet SOL Limited – a state-owned company that forms the backbone of the South African freight logistics chain. TNPA owns and controls South Africa’s port system consisting of eight commercial ports; Richards Bay, Durban, East London, Ngqura, Port Elizabeth, Mossel Bay, Cape Town, and Saldanha. TNPA manages the port system’s safe, efficient economic functioning and provides port infrastructure and marine services.
