Bintulu Port is an international port that has a strategic position in Northeast Sarawak, which is on the route between the Far East and Europe. It is also the main route for the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Malaysia. Cargo generated from its hinterland is expected to increase as the Sarawak Corridor for Renewable Energy (SCORE) Initiatives are implemented, with additional shipment of aluminium, pulp and paper, silicon, manganese, fertilizer, downstream timber and agro produce & product making its way to the dock.
