This programme for this year’s IAPH World Ports Conference includes two business briefings exploring practical approaches to port decarbonisation. ‘Incentivising emissions reductions’, a briefing sponsored by OceanScore, will be held on 4 November (11:45 GMT). IAPH’s Environmental Ship Index (ESI) has been the leading environmental incentive scheme for ports for more than a decade. At this session, delegates will learn how the IMO-recognised scheme is being enhanced to meet and exceed the standards of the Net Zero Framework, with contributions from both port and shipping company users about their experiences of the scheme. ‘Onshore power for ships – cost-efficient innovations and solutions’, a briefing sponsored by Jenbacher, will be held on 4 November (13.45 GMT). Onshore power (OPS) is established as a cornerstone of port decarbonisation and at this session delegates will learn about innovative technologies, business models and practical solutions that can make shore power more affordable and scalable, with support from IAPH’s expert OPS working group. Make sure these sessions are part of your itinerary, alongside the many other opportunities to gain insight, share experiences and connect with industry peers.
