IAPH leaders convene at Ports Australia conference

IAPH president Jens Meier (CEO, Hamburg Port Authority) delivered the keynote address at the Ports Australia Biennial Conference in Sydney this week. His speech, ‘Global Ports Outlook: Risks, Trends and Priorities’, focused on how ports can contribute to a secure, resilient and sustainable energy supply. In the subsequent panel discussion moderated by IAPH managing director Patrick Verhoeven, Jens Meier joined VP for America North Gene Seroka (executive director, Port of Los Angeles) and immediate IAPH past president Captain K. Subramaniam (general manager, Port Klang Authority) to discuss the key challenges and opportunities facing the global port industry. VP for South East Asia and Oceania Marika Calfas (CEO, NSW Ports) discussed strategic priorities across the region with Mike Gallacher (CEO, Ports Australia).
