Gadi Benmoshe, vice chair of the IAPH Data Collaboration Committee gave the IAPH view on cybersecurity at a recent webinar on the topic. ‘Port-Maritime Cybersecurity: Protection Against Digital Threats’ was hosted by the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (OAS-CIP), alongside featured speakers from the World Bank and Barbados Port Inc. During the May 21 event, Gadi shared key findings and strategic best practices from IAPH’s activities to bolster global port cyber resilience. He highlighted the IAPH Cybersecurity Guidelines for Ports and Port Facilities, the IAPH Cyber Risk Guidelines for Emerging Technologies, and IAPH’s latest cyber-related submissions at IMO FAL 50. Gadi also emphasised the critical importance of international collaboration and the need to promote capacity building to defend the maritime supply chain against emerging threats.
