The former managing director of Kenya Ports Authority, Ndua served as president from May 2009 to May 2011. He was the first African to hold this distinguished position. He was previously elected 2nd vice president of IAPH in May 2005 in charge of the Africa-Europe Region, coordinating the business of the group on Safety, Security and Environment and Legal Affairs. He also served as elected 1st vice president of IAPH in May 2007, chairing the group dealing with Communications and Community Relations and Human Resource Development.
