IAPH is pleased to announce that vice presidents (2025-2027) for the following six regions have been elected by their member ports, following voting that took place between 29 July and 19 August. They are in the image, from left to right, top to bottom: Africa: Abubakar Dantsoho (managing director/ CEO, Nigerian Ports Authority, Nigeria); America, North: Eugene Seroka (executive director, Port of Los Angeles, U.S.A, re-elected); Asia, South West, East & Middle East: Ichio Motono (senior executive director, Yokohama Port Corporation, Japan); Asia, Southeast and Oceania: Marika Calfas (CEO, NSW Ports, Australia); Europe: Jacques Vandermeiren (CEO, Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Belgium, re-elected); America, Central and South: Vinicius Patel (director of port administration, Port of Açu, Brazil, re-elected). This follows the re-election of Jens Meier, current president of IAPH and CEO of Hamburg Port Authority following a formal voting process which took place earlier this year. At the IAPH Annual General Meeting on October 9 at the IAPH 2025 World Ports Conference, the Secretariat will report on the process and result of elections, which shall be put to a vote by the Regular Members and Honorary Members for endorsement. The new president and vice presidents will officially take office following the endorsement at the AGM.
