IAPH members are invited to attend an online workshop, ‘Digital collaboration in port-anchored industrial clusters,’ organised by the Transitioning Industrial Clusters (TIC) initiative of the World Economic Forum (WEF), in collaboration with the IAPH Data Collaboration Committee (DCC). The workshop will be held on Monday 3 March, 4-5.30pm CET and can be joined using this link. The objective of the workshop is to discuss how port-anchored industrial clusters can harness digital collaboration to enhance synergies and drive collective action, to demonstrate advanced use cases, to dive into essential ‘enablers’ like data collaboration, cybersecurity, and trust, and to discuss a proposed digital maturity framework. WEF TIC representatives will also join the IAPH Technical Committee Days in London in March in a dedicated session on this topic. This latest collaboration between WEF and IAPH follows a roundtable held at the 2024 IAPH World Ports Conference, which was organised by the WEF Center for Cybersecurity, again with DCC. Earlier this month, DCC vice-chair Gadi Benmoshe presented during a WEF workshop on ‘Digitalisation for Industrial Synergies’ focusing on the multiple ways ports enable the digital transformation at industrial clusters.
