IAPH managing director Patrick Verhoeven attended the 5th edition of GreenMarine Europe earlier this week. The event, held at the Institute of Natural Sciences in Brussels, showcases the environmental debates that are at the forefront of the European maritime industry. Patrick appeared on a panel titled ‘Ports Environmental Leadership’, alongside Stephanie Jones Stebbins, managing director (Maritime) at IAPH member Port of Seattle. Patrick introduced the World Ports Sustainability Program, discussed the latest developments on the Environmental Ship Index, outlined IAPH’s tools for clean marine fuels and explained its collaboration with the International Chamber of Shipping on the topic of CEM Hubs.
