The Port of Paradip, the only major port in the State of Odisha, is 210 nautical miles south of Kolkata and 260 nautical miles north of Visakhapatnam on the east coast of the Bay of Bengal.
Thanks to its strategic location, the port has a vast hinterland spreading over Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal states. Paradip Port handles various dry and liquid bulk cargo, steel products, project cargo, and containers.
