Comisión Portuaria Nacional (CPN: The National Port Commission) is a technical entity established in 1972 to represent the State of Guatemala in port and regional maritime transport activities. It serves as an advisor to the Executive Agency and is responsible for conducting studies and investigations, as well as ensuring compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code).
Additionally, the CPN collaborates with international organizations such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the Inter-American Committee on Ports of the Organization of American States (CIP/OAS).
