Port of NarvikLast Update:

Port of Narvik is one of the most important ports in Northern Europe. It is strategically located on the Ofotfjord in northern Norway and remains ice-free year-round due to the influence of the Gulf Stream.

The port serves as a key logistics hub linking sea, rail, road, and air transportation. It is best known as the export gateway for iron ore from the Kiruna mining region in Sweden, which is transported via the Ofot Railway to Narvik.

In addition to bulk minerals, the port handles containers, project cargo, general cargo, and cruise vessels. Its deep-water, naturally sheltered harbor can accommodate large oceangoing ships and supports international trade throughout the Arctic and European regions.
