The Union des Ports de France (UPF) is the professional association representing French port operators. It unites 48 active members, including managers of commercial and fishing ports, major sea and river ports, autonomous ports, chambers of commerce and industry, mixed economy companies, and port operating entities in mainland France and overseas territories.
The UPF fulfills three main missions:
1. Representing French ports in social negotiations and managing the national collective agreement for Ports and Handling in collaboration with UNIM and trade union organizations.
2. Advocating for French port interests with national and European authorities, the media, and within the European Seaports Association (ESPO).
3. Facilitating networks for knowledge exchange and best practice sharing among port professionals.
Since its merger with the Association for the Development of French Ports (ADPF) in 2013, UPF has also established three forums to connect stakeholders: port professionals, decentralized port authorities, and supervisory board leaders of major seaports.
