Barbados Port Inc. (BPI) is the government-owned entity responsible for managing the Port of Bridgetown, the primary seaport in Barbados. Initially formed in 1979 as the Barbados Port Authority, it was restructured and renamed Barbados Port Inc. in 2003.
BPI regulates shipping into Barbados and manages cargo and cruise operations at the Port of Bridgetown. The port of Bridgetown handles various types of cargo, including containers, break-bulk, and agricultural produce. The port is a popular destination for major cruise lines and also serves as a homeport for several of them.
