Public vote concludes for IAPH Sustainability Awards

IAPH is grateful to all 4,500 people who voted for their preferred projects among the finalists of the IAPH Sustainability Awards 2024 competition. The public vote closed on Friday 13 September, concluding the evaluation process of the 71 candidate projects from more than 50 ports globally, which participated in this year’s competition. The 18 finalists for the six categories of the awards were first defined based on the evaluation results by our jury of experts. Now, the outcome of the public vote will co-determine (30%), together with the initial jury ratings (70%), the final winners to be announced at the gala dinner of the World Ports Conference in Hamburg on the evening of 9 October. Due to the outstanding quality of candidate projects this year, the jury evaluation ratings were, in many cases, very close and the public votes did make the difference. We want to thank all project submitters, the members of the jury and everyone who voted, for making the 2024 IAPH Sustainability Awards a success. Congratulations to the 18 finalists for their great achievement – we wish you good luck on 9 October!
