World Ports Conference webinars restart 16 September
Following the highly successful summer set of the World Ports Conference webinars, we have teamed up again with our colleagues at IHS Markit to prepare the autumn series. Three thought-provoking events await you, the first one being scheduled for 16 September. This webcast will focus on the role of port authorities as community builders and will explore specific initiatives ports engage in to bring economic, business and societal benefits to their regions, while providing lessons for those ports with room to grow as community builders. The webinar features a conversation between Jacques Vandermeiren, CEO of Antwerp Port Authority, and Tessa Major, Director International Business & Innovation at the Brazilian port of Açu. Moderator is Ines Nastali, the editor of our magazine Ports & Harbors. Our next webinar takes place on 21 October and will investigate how ports can establish sustainable partnerships with cargo interests. We close the autumn series on 18 November with a debate on globalisation versus regionalisation and how that impacts cargo and passenger ports. Participation to the World Ports Conference webinars is free of charge. You can register online via the World Ports Conference website, where you can still watch the summer series on demand as well.
