Clean Marine Fuels working group resumes activity
The Clean Marine Fuels Working Group held its first meeting since the outbreak of the pandemic on 23 June, in an online format. The Working Group welcomed new members from the Port of Los Angeles, Montreal Port Authority and the South African national port authority Transnet. The meeting successfully resumed its work and finalised its LNG Ready Terminal tool, which will become available in September. In addition, the Working Group established roadmaps for other products, including a Cryogenic Fuels checklist (expected for February 2021), a Multiple Truck to Ship LNG checklist (expected for December 2021) and a Port Guidance Tool on Bunker Management. The Working Group concluded its meeting with a discussion on its mission and vision in the light of the broader clean marine fuels agenda and the GHG strategy of the International Maritime Organization.
