On March 22 & 23 senior representatives of global ports, industry, stakeholders and policy-makers will gather in Antwerp to kick-off the World Ports Sustainability Program (WPSP)-IAPH initiative based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals drawn up by the United Nations. With WPSP, global ports aim to enhance and coordinate future sustainability efforts around five essential themes: future-proof infrastructure, climate and energy, societal integration of ports, safety and security as well as governance and ethics. WPSP is developed in cooperation with AAPA, ESPO, AIVP and PIANC.
The dedicated event website, including the program, registration, etc. is now online: www.wpspevent.org Day one features a series of high-level keynotes and panel discussions, whereas day two digs into the detail of the five WPSP themes through interactive workshops. Participation is open to IAPH members and further on invitation basis.
