IAPH represented at PAR in Kobe

PAR_Kobe_Oct2019Hosted by Port of Kobe, Japan, Port Authorities Roundtable (PAR) met in Kobe, Japan, 15-17 October, for its 5th conference entitled “Managing Disruptive Changes and Risks for Future Ready Port”. During the event, IAPH Vice President Masaharu Shinohara for Asia, South/West, East and Middle East Region met with Captain Maktoum Alhouqani, Executive Vice President Corporate Authority, Abu Dhabi Ports and exchanged ideas for future IAPH activity. IAPH Secretary General Masahiko Furuichi was also in attendance and Capt. Maktoum Alhouqani expressed his port’s willingness to host a future IAPH conference. In this context, the Port of Kobe has also expressed its willingness to host a future IAPH conference.

 

PAR is an invitation-based annual conference established solely for CEO/Chairman/President/Director General/General Manager of leading port authorities to facilitate a top-level exchange of ideas and experiences. It met previously in Long Beach, USA, in July 2018 and will meet in Antwerp, Belgium, prior to the IAPH World Ports Conference.
