Accompanied by his staff, Mr. Masamichi Morooka, President/CEO of Yokohama-Kawasaki International Port Corporation (YKIP), IAPH Regular Member based in Yokohama, Japan, visited with Secretary General Masahiko Furuichi at the IAPH head office in Tokyo to exchange views and opinions on the upcoming event organized by YKIP in Yokohama “Yokohama Maritime Forum 2019”. IAPH Working Groups on Environment Ship Index (ES) and Clean Marine Fuels are also meeting on 21 and 22 October in conjunction with the YMF 2019, celebrating the 160th anniversary of the opening of Port Yokohama. They confirmed a close tie of collaboration between IAPH and YKIP existed in the past and will continue to do so in the years to come. More details will follow.
