IAPH World Ports Conference concludes successfully in Guangzhou

Attended by more than 1,000 delegates, accompanying persons, speakers and experts from 60 countries and regions, the IAPH World Ports Conference was held from 6 to 10 May at the Baiyun International Conference Center, Guangzhou, China, under the theme of “Collaborate Now, Create Future”.  The event was hosted by Guangzhou Port Authority in cooperation with the city of Guangzhou.

 

The conference was opened by Mr. LI Tianbi, representing the Chinese Ministry of Transport, followed by Mr. Wen Guohui, Mayor of Guangzhou and others.  Representing IAPH, President Santiago Garcia Mila took the podium to thank the hosts for organizing such a fabulous conference.

 

IMO Secretary General Kitack Lim also participated through his video message to the audience, in which he commended IAPH’s commitment to working with IMO members on addressing UN Sustainable Development Goals.

 

 

Regarding the IAPH management team, the Board, President Santiago Mila was re-elected for a third term to serve until the end of IAPH conference in 2021.
