The Port Authority was created in 1974 to rule the ports of Libreville-Owendo and the deep-water port of Port-Gentil, and to regulate the overall ports activities in Gabon.
OPRAG activities were partly privatized in May 2004.
OPRAG has fulfilled the ISPS Code constraints a couple of years ago.
