(1) The term "tonnage handled" means the cargo tonnage in metric tons which passed in and out of the member's port or the port's boundaries, whether ocean going, coastwise, or by lake, river or canal.

In accordance with Sec. 6 of the By-Laws of IAPH, the tonnage applicable to the subscription of the number of Regular Membership dues units is to be calculated on the weighted formula of 100% for general cargo and 20% for dry and liquid bulk cargo, as follows:-

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP

1. NUMBER OF MEMBERSHIP DUES UNITS

Once the tonnage figures applicable are calculated, it shall determine the number of Regular Membership dues units to be subscribed by a Regular Member, as shown in the following table.

2. MEMBERSHIP DUES

Each Regular Member shall pay membership dues of SDR1,070 per annum per subscribed membership unit. SDR stands for 'Special Drawing Rights' as defined by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

For actual payment of SDR units, you are requested to quote@the exchange rate between SDR and one of the following currencies in the SDR@valuation basket, depending upon your preference and convenience, as existed@on December 10, 2007, the date of issue of our invoices for 2008 dues.
