History
Founded
in 1955 in Los Angeles, USA, with delegates from 38 ports and maritime organizations
in 14 countries gathered, the International Association of Ports and Harbors
(IAPH) marked its 50th Anniversary (Golden Jubilee) in 2005. Over the past five
decades, IAPH has served the global port industry, forming a global alliance
of ports and harbors. It is a non-profit-making and non-governmental organization
(NGO) headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
